What is Earthbound about?
>>> Bound by fate, torn apart by true love <<<
Tavia Michaels is the sole survivor of a plane crash. Grief-stricken and alone, she’s having strange visions of a boy she’s never met. As her visions intensify, Tavia wonders, was the plane crash really an accident? Or is she part of something bigger than she ever imagined?
The only person she can talk to is Benson, her best friend, the guy who’s somehow always by her side. But secretly she longs to confide in the boy who haunts her dreams …
A heart-stopping romance, a centuries-long conspiracy, and a love triangle you’ve never seen before.

This is the first Aprilynne Pike book that I read, and I must say I was blown away by her great writing. This lady has some mad skills! Earthbound had everything I like: mystery, plot twists, steamy romance and witty dialogue.
Unfortunately, some synopses of this book give away waaay too much and will spoil the story for you. That’s why I’m so thankful I stumbled across this book in the library and didn’t know anything about it except for what they told me in the blurb on the back of the book. Otherwise, I would have missed out on a great mystery. The less you know about Earthbound the better so I’m going to keep this review short and sweet.
I must say that I had my doubts at the beginning of the book because the plot seemed a bit grim. I only got really engrossed from about the end of chapter two, I think, but it was all uphill after that. I liked each chapter more than the last. So, if you pick up the book and you can’t understand why I was raving about it, I hope you’ll stick it out a bit longer. One thing Pike does really well in this book is that the reader is kept in the dark along with the main character, Tavia, so that you find out things at the same time as her. The plot unfolds at a good, steady pace so I never felt bored while waiting for Tavia to find out something new as she tries to piece together the mystery.
There is a love triangle in this book but it is not your typical love triangle. I personally like love triangles as long as they are done well, and this one is.
